Our tasks

TLS has the task of promoting particularly talented young triathletes and duathletes and preparing them for a career as a professional competitive athlete.

In addition to the parents, the sports schools, the training companies, the triathlon clubs and the association, TLS creates optimal conditions for these young athletes.

As a partner of the “Performance Center Solothurn” foundation, TLS takes on the sporting support of the young triathletes who go to school at the new “Sport Academy Solothurn”.

TLS works with the triathlon clubs in the region.

Our training offer

The training offer is optimally coordinated with the timetable of the sports classes Sec. I + II.

Our demands on the athletes

The group consists of 6-8 athletes between the ages of 14 and 23 years.

In terms of performance, these belong to the top Swiss in their respective age group.

Every athlete attends a sports class or completes an apprenticeship in the “athlete apprenticeship” mode.

The athletes come from the Mittelland region or attend the Solothurn Sports Academy. (The Sport-Academy Solothurn is open to all domestic and foreign athletes insofar as they meet the criteria)

Guest athletes also train together with TLS.

For four years now, TLS has been the only triathlon training club in the Mittelland with the «Gold» label from Swiss-Triathlon.

As of 2017, TLS has been recognized by Swiss Triathlon as a regional young talent center.
